If you have been following me on social media then you would be aware of our not-so-short-trip to Goa. If you were wondering was I on a holiday? Well, no it was purely because of work. We have started a travel series where we will be traveling across the country to feature some of the best weekend getaway places and Goa being quite popular among various generations our first stop had to be the same. We stayed for around eight days and our first stop was Novotel Goa Shrem Hotel, which is located within the bustling nightlife and popular hangouts in the heart of Candolim.
The hotel has recently launched its luxury wing and the rooms are undoubtedly spacious and bespoke of a relaxed and a luxury stay. With personal balconies, you know where will you be chilling when you are not travelling. In few rooms the balconies are overlooking the serene pool and on the other side you can have a look at Goan style properties and coconut trees.
The most attractive feature in Novotel Goa Shrem Hotel the five star luxury property is that it have two swimming pools, and one of them is have sand floor and it’s just like that you are walking on the beach, isn’t that cool?
Also this cosy hotel is equipped with Elle Salon that is well renowned for it’s beauty services and these similar features and services are shared by it’s twin property called Novotel Goa Resort and Spa, that too is located on Candolim and the best thing is that the hotel and resort are tech friendly with free Wifi services, well do we really need anything else? But these are not the only best things that Novotel has to offer as accompanying the luxury they also serve some lip smacking food.
In total, we loved the whole vibe of the hotel, as from the in room services to outdoor facilities they have it all. Though due to our busy schedule we missed our pre-decided visit to ‘La Brise’, ie the hotels own personal beach shack/restaurant at Candolim Beach. The best thing is that Novotel Goa Shrem Hotel and Novotel Goa Resort and Spa provides free shuttle services to the beach, isn’t that amazing? Just think you can do to and fro to the beach whole day long. Moreover with quite a few well known nightspots near the property, Novotel Hotel just took our heart.
Also, we also got a chance to lunch at the Square which is one of the very fine restaurant in Novotel Goa Shrem Hotel and I must say, we were swayed by the chef special choices and each bite took us to cloud nine. From mouth watering kebabs in starters and refreshing cocktails accompanying it, we had a great expectation from the main course and the Goan Curry accompanied with coconut milk ice cream later for dessert left us famished. Take my advice and if you are visiting Goa and even though have some other plans don’t forget to drop by at Square for a delightful lunch.
One of the two days we also visited Novotel Goa Resort and Spa to have a rejuvenating time at Warren Tricomi Spa, which we will be reviewing separately soon on the blog, so stay tuned for that. Though it is not advised to swim after you take spa but the large Pool with attached Jacuzzi and Pool Bar just couldn’t stop us.
Also, how could we not dine at Vera Cibo, the Italian and Mediterranean dining overlooking the green fields and hills. We did try quite a few delicacies there but my personal favourite was Veg steamed momos, if you are momos fan like me, you need to stop by and eat these cute yummy dimsums.
