When you hear the word grandeur what is it the first word that comes in your mind? Is it the rich opulence? A luxurious stay? or a palace with heritage beauty? Well, Rajniwas Palace holds true to each aspect of grandeur. Nestled in the in the heartlands of Dholpur, the Rajniwas Palace is a majestic and palatial estate that is engulfed with peacocks and bird life that nip over from the National Chambal Sanctuary near it.
We stayed in Pool Villas that are spacious and elegant. The best factor of these Pool Villas is an adjoining classic plunge pool accompanied with the chic cascading windows giving one a view of the gorgeous scene outside the villa. Undoubtedly each villa transports you back to a time of royalty.
If you are a Delhiite then it will take you an average of 3 hours to reach Dholpur, you can either opt for a Train (Bhopal Shatabdi) or can take a road trip via Agra. When we arrived at Dholpur, we were warmly welcomed by the lovely staff of Rajniwas Palace (also known as Dholpur Palace) at the train station in their in-house open jeeps. Even the sight of it surely thrilled us.
When it comes to the restaurant then I must tell you, I have personally not in my last few travel’s have sighted such a well designed place. The beauty of it bewitches you and when it comes to the bar, you will be mesmerised to see the detailing at every corner.
Though at the end what matters to all of us are our satiated taste buds. I cannot say that meals we had met our expectations and that we have had some scrumptious food but what we had was fresh and of good quality.
When it comes to basic amenities, the staff tends to take care of every need. Also, if you are staying at the Pool Villa, do ask the staff a day prior to heat up your pool so that you can have a luxury of warm pool while sipping on your champagne and engulfing the beauty of the nature at its best. 🙂
Best season to visit Rajniwas Palace are winters and once you are there, do request them to take you to the property tour of the Old Palace that was originally built in the late century. You will be astonished to see the heritage beauty of the same.
Other than the beautiful property there are lots of activities in Dholpur and one can never tire of the expanse of opportunities there. With the famous locations, such as Chambal Boat Safari, Chambal Ravine Safari,
Ghariyals Breeding Farm, Machkund Temple, Talab-e- Shahi, Chausat Yogini Temple, Shergarh Fort, Van Vihar Wild Life Sanctuary, and Bateshwar Temple you can surely plan a two night stay at Rajniwas Palace and experience the unexpected. J
Also, who would not love taking a stroll in a lush green garden with peacocks and birds chirping around?
Until Next Post.
