In this blog post, I am showcasing two designers who bespoke of quality and design. Getting inspired from the roots, they know how to strike the chord right. The onlooker can see the level of creativity in each of the collection and certainly these designers use those raw materials that are relished by all of us though sometimes we outlook them but these two ladies know how to create magic with their every new concept.
I wore this look on one of the day’s of Amazon India Fashion Week and this is what my take is on India Modern, a theme that became quite popular because of AIFW.
The silver plated jewellery from Ritika Sachdeva, manifests the modernity in itself. The Silver and gold crescent boat motif multiple chain necklace curated with our traditional ghungroos is quite synonymous to Indian modernity. The design is so feminine and modern but the components speaks of Indian ingenuity. She has varied range of collection from earrings, neckpieces and headgears and we are in love with each one of them.
Secondly, the dress that did a pure justice to this India Modern look, was from MATI by Fatima K Punjaabi. Mati that means Soil in Hindi is symbolic of Indian roots, Fatima believes in curating such Indian fabrics and spinning them into a contemporary outfit. I have worn this outfit for a whole day and strangely it even did rain, but the quality of the outfit remains. Loved how the woven fabric is used to create this Ooch-Neech Dress with buttoned foldable sleeves.
You can also pair this outfit and neckpiece with tan coloured bag and footwear but as you know, when we girls dress up it’s always at the last minute we remember to add on the blings. So these black cut out boots and black sling that I have also styled in my previous post ( You can view the details by clicking on the resp. accessory) was an easy walk through. 😉
Also, not to forget this cotton ooch neech dress also comes with two inside loose pockets which has a detailing of yellow piping. It not only enhances the look of this single coloured dress but also makes it comfortable and casual.
Until next post.
